HUMAN GENOME PROJECT :)

Human Genome Project's goal is :

• Identify all genes in human DNA.
• Determine  the sequences of the chemical base pairs that make up human DNA.
• Then store all researched information in databases.
• Improve tools for data analysis.
• Transfer  related technologies to the private sector.
• Address the ethical, legal, and social issues (ELSI) that may arise from the project.

 Before achives these goals , they studied genetic makeup of non-human organisms that include the common human gut bacterium : the fruit fly and the laboratory mouse. 

BENEFIT :

-With the fast developments in genome science, the Human Genome Project is considered an important project that allows for the discovery of disease-carrying genes.

-Allows scientist to understand the genes' functions and their effects on many common and complex diseases
